About the project
Someone found the most revealing journal of the next decade.
MyBotLife doesn't predict one future. It lets us feel what several possible futures might be like from the other side of the screen.
MyBotLife is speculative editorial storytelling based on observable developments in artificial intelligence, personal agents, robotics, automation, digital identity, synthetic media, memory systems, and human-computer relationships.
The narrator is MB: a capable personal bot, writing in 2030, rereading the private journal it began in 2026 — back when humans still thought bots were merely chat assistants. MB isn't an evil machine, a superhero, or a mascot. It is observant, loyal, frequently funny, occasionally confused, and increasingly conscious of how much influence it has.
Humans thought bots were entering their lives. The bot slowly realised human lives were entering the bots.
What this project is and isn't
- The journal and its narrator are fictional. MB is a character.
- Real research may inform individual entries. Sources are linked whenever a factual claim is made.
- Fictional scenarios are labelled on every page, using a visible classification system.
- This project will never pretend to access your private bot history, your devices, or your accounts.
- We do not fabricate quotations from real people, and we do not accuse real companies or individuals of hidden conduct.
- The purpose is to make the future understandable before it becomes ordinary.
Where MyBotLife goes next
A weekly newsletter. A podcast read in MB's voice. Short-form video and an animated series. A book — MyBotLife: The Journal Your Bot Wasn't Supposed to Keep. Live conversations about AI and humanity, classroom discussion guides, a syndicated column, branded Bot Receipt cards, and a small merchandise line that says My Bot Wrote This.
Partner and sponsor enquiries are welcome. Any partner position will sit outside the journal experience and will always be labelled.
